MAC 7th Grade team (JV) General Info
Practices: 7th grade and 8th grade teams will practice at Farragut High School.
Games: 7th and 8th grade will primarily be played on Thursday nights, unless rescheduled otherwise. When rescheduling has to take place, games are usually played on Wednesday nights. The first game of the season may be scheduled on a Saturday due to field availability.
Head Coach: Jay Garrett
Last year, Jay served as the Head Coach for the 6th grade MAC team that competed for the MAC Championship. This will be his first season coaching the 7th grade program. Jay brings a contagious energy and enthusiasm for coaching, fueled by his own football journey. He played middle linebacker at West Virginia University in the late '90s, contributing to several bowl teams. Over the past four years, Jay has coached both YAC and MAC teams, including two years as defensive coordinator. His passion for player development stems form the valuable life lessons football offers, both on and off the field. Jay and his wife, Carrie, have three children. Their oldest daughter, CJ serves as the team hydration specialist, their middle daughter Emy cheers for Farragut football, and their son Grant will play on the 3rd Grade Farragut YAC team this year.
